Whether you’re preparing for parenthood on your own or with a partner, these sessions can be a proactive time to explore your own childhood, your expectations for parenthood, and how you can adapt to challenges. Participating in these sessions with your co-caregiver can help align your expectations and values before conflicts arise.
It’s common for expectations to differ from reality when it comes to caregiving. This can lead to feelings of being overwhelmed, grief, failure, and regret. Understanding the disconnect between your expectations and reality and shifting your perspective can help make parenting more manageable. Helping you enjoy this stage of life and be the parent you want your children to have.
These parenting courses are facilitated by a trained Nurturing Parenting Program Facilitator to help promote individual well-being and healthy family relationships. Participation in all sessions (14 total) will result in a certificate of completion that can be provided to the court for court-ordered treatment.
