Finding a therapist who fits your vibe can be difficult. Completing an entire intake appointment just to discover the therapist is not a great fit can be mentally and financially draining. To avoid this, we offer a 15-minute phone consultation at no cost to you. This helps us gain a better understanding of what you're looking for, if our services fit your needs, and if our approach is the right fit.
Over the past 10 years as a social worker, I've had experience working within the family court and the child welfare system, providing individual and group therapy in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, providing in-home therapy to pregnant and postpartum people, and completing psychiatric assessments.
I have a doctorate in social work with research in perinatal mental health. As a KY LCSW, my work focuses on the mental health experiences of the non-birthing parents (fathers, LGBTQIA+, adoptive parents).

I have completed multiple perinatal mental health trainings through the Postpartum Support International. I specialize in prenatal and postpartum treatment for both parents. I believe the family functions as a system and the health of all individuals is important for success. I work with people experiencing suicidal ideations, anxiety, interpersonal issues, adjustment stress, societal stress, PTSD, and OCD.

I'm Joseph, a certified social worker (CSW), a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), and an open and proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. As your therapist, I view my role as a guide in your life. To walk beside you in making sense of the mess in front of you, sticking to you, or that indescribable feeling that keeps you anchored away from growth and relief. The guidance and therapy I provide may take on different forms I lean into or am trained in.

Perhaps dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills for the all too familiar stress of work, relationships, or the often-needed push to find your spark and joy in life again. Maybe it’s through accelerated resolution therapy (ART) that provides an almost instantaneous relief from highly impactful and traumatic experiences that stick to our mind, body, and spirit preventing us from feeling whole again. Or maybe a mix of both while we explore and honor the individual parts that make us unique and inherently worthy to walk in this world that seems so dark. And not to mention, perhaps a bit of humor scattered throughout.
